We are particularly excited that Valerie O’Donnell from Cardiff University has already accepted our invitation and will provide a keynote lecture on Tuesday morning.

Furthermore, the meeting will feature:

• • A short presentation (5 min) on the project / research areas of the institute /… given by the PI(s)
  • An oral presentation from each of the participating groups, preferably presented by a young researcher (20 min talk + 5 min discussion)
  • A poster session and get together on Tuesday afternoon and evening, to get to know each other and the projects for the upcoming funding period (please bring your poster from the review meeting in Würzburg with you) and plenty of time for informal interactions.
  • the election of the new steering committee members (if you are interested, please add your name to the nomination list)

    For our young investigators:
  • On Thursday morning (9 am – 1 pm) we have organized a soft skill course for up to 20 of our young SPP 2306 researchers (PhD students and postdocs) on self- and lab leadership. CJ Fitzsimons, whose company `Leadership Sculptor` is regularly involved in the EMBO Lab Leadership courses – will give a course for our PhD students and postdocs with the main topics: assertiveness, project planning, and leadership
